Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) - Hospitalist

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) - Hospitalist to provide labor and delivery coverage and gynecologic emergency coverage at multiple hospital locations throughout New York's Hudson Valley region. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNM who is comfortable working in a high-volume, high-acuity hospital setting and thrives in a collaborative care environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide labor and delivery call coverage in hospital-based settings.
• Manage and support patients throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
• Provide gynecologic emergency coverage for hospital patients as needed.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

• Current New York State Registered Nurse and Nurse Midwife licensure .
• Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) Certification required.
• Demonstrated experience in labor and delivery care.
• Comfortable working in a high-volume, high-acuity L&D environment .
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage urgent and emergent situations.
• Clean professional and malpractice history ( no medical malpractice claims ).

Schedule

• Approximately 6 to 8 shifts per month .
• 24-hour shifts .

Work Locations

Coverage will be provided at one hospital location per shift. Assignments may vary based on staffing needs.
